2025 Pre-Race Instructions
BIB NUMBER PICKUP: Saturday, December 20, 2025
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

FINISH AREA:
There is NO PARKING on Race Day at the small gravel parking lot near the Finish Area
Race parking is allowed along park road except area for Shuttle Bus parking area
Post Race Shuttle Bus to Reed’s Bay Parking Lot from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on race day
BANYAN DRIVE - SHUTTLE BUS TO START: Departure at 4:15 AM Sharp

DROP OFF RUNNERS AT START:
Parking (Parking-South) is available in the paved Volcano Golf Course lot. There will be no exit from the lot until after the race has started.
Parking is also available on the side of Piimauna Drive in designated areas (Parking - North)
Please avoid “No Parking” areas
TIMING – BIB NUMBER CHIPS
This year's race will be timed by net chip time
The top 3 overall male and female award winners will be determined by gun time so please seed yourself accordingly
If you drop out, please notify the Race Director at hbcmarathon@gmail.com with your name and Bib Number. Mahalo!
SAFETY - SHOULDER OF THE ROAD
The roads are NOT closed to traffic. Please be aware of your surroundings.
On Highway 11 stay on the left shoulder and don’t run to the right of the white line as this is the traffic lane. Per highway regulations, runners are prohibited from the traffic lane. HIGHWAY RESTRICTIONS
If you are reported to race management by 2 or more participants or observed running in the traffic lane or anywhere except the left shoulder on the Highway 11 you may be disqualified.
BAG DROP AT START
There will be two-large green bag/containers at the Start Line for drop bags. Bags will be delivered to the Finish Area and may be picked up after the race. Please use the provided bag with your race number that you received from the Packet Pickup.
HEADLAMP/CLOTHING DROP
Headlamps can be dropped off at either the FIRST or SECOND Waterstop along with any articles of clothing. Remember to mark your race number and name on items for easy identification.
All dropped clothing will be collected and brought to the Finish Area. All items not picked up at the Finish will be discarded or donated to a local charity.
LITTERING
There is a NO TOLERANCE policy for littering and you may be disqualified if you toss garbage other than at the Waterstops.
